As Peacebuilding Starts at Home swings into high gear, it is time to begin promoting my book of the same name.
Here are two videos in which I discuss the book. The first (and shorter) one is a version of a talk I gave to a group of veteran international peacebuilding who came together for a one day conference at Notre Dame’s DC campus.
The second is a discussion I had about the book with Liz Hume, the Alliance for Peacebuilding’s remarkable executive director. I decided to write the book because Liz and others thought we needed one so that would help us expand the work that AfP and its partners do here at home. Liz also gave the book its title. My original plan was to call it Peace is a Verb. Liz agreed that it was a great book title but would not work for building a movement. Hence, Peacebuilding Starts at Home.
While I’m reasonably happy with the content of each video, you will have not trouble seeing why I’m getting some coaching on how best to work in front of a camera.
