Blog post writers are supposed to avoid long titles. And confusing titles. I failed on both fronts this week because recent events have finally forced me to deal with dilemmas and trade offs that have vexed my political life since the 1960s. In the simplest terms, how do we deal with the people we disagree with, especially if we interested in the kind of sweeping social, political, environmental, and economic change I’ve advocate for more than half a century?
